Let's Talk: Oils!

Let's Talk: Oils!

We're sure you have them all and by them we mean: Facial cleansers, toners, exfoliants; You know the skin cleaning essentials. But, what about your oils? Yes, I said it. Oil

The oil cleansing method has recently become one of the most popular skincare hacks. Despite your skin type, there's definitely a method that is sure to work for you

So how does it work exactly?

Glad you asked! Grab your favorite oils, literally slather your face in them and let it sit for a few. Run back to your bathroom and rinse away with lukewarm water and a washcloth.

We know, we know ... this pretty much goes against everything you've been taught in the realm of skincare. However, oils alone aren't always the problem. Bacteria, clogged pores, excess sebum along with oils cause breakouts. Helpful tip, you're welcome babe!

How are the oils cleansing my face?

Essentially, the oils that you're using to clean your face are breaking down the left behind gritty oils and replaces them with fresh, new, nourishing oils. See? Easy peasy!

The great thing about this is, unlike some cleansers you don't have to worry about chemicals stripping your face of its natural oils, then pushing itself into overdrive, which then ... Yep, you guessed it -- leads to clogged pores and breakouts.

So what oils are good for my skin?

Sunflower seed, Jojoba, Grapeseed, Olive oil just to name a few. And last, but certainly not least your our very own Soothing Primer Oil or Botanical Oil. It's suitable for all skin types, but even better for those with oily skin. And here's an added bonus: it's great for priming your face before applying makeup!

Cheers to healthy skin, babes!

xoxo
